    The Haunted Trail will open on Saturday 26th, and Sunday 27th of October at Palmerstown House Estate, Kildare, and Malahide Castle and Gardens, Dublin. For a full list of times please see our booking system.

    The event is located at Palmerstown House Estate, Kildare, and Malahide Castle and Gardens, Dublin.
  • What is the ticket price?
    Adult: €13.50 Child 13 months - 12 years: €17.50 Infants under 13 months go free Ticket prices not including booking fee of €1.75 (not applicable for infant tickets)
  • Is the event outdoors?
    Yes, this event is completely outdoor-based. The event has been designed to cater for all members of society, all ages and abilities. It is approx., 1km in length. Our trails are wheelchair and pram friendly. However, care should be taken while navigating the route. Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Is the event suitable for all ages?
    Yes, the experience is aimed at families with young children and is designed to be spooky and not scary. All ages are welcome.
  • Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?
    Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance as this is a limited capacity event. Tickets can be purchased here.
  • Why is there a booking fee?
    These are charges passed on to us by the bank for their services to process credit/debit card transactions, also for the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software, and all other costs associated with our ticketing system.
  • Is there parking available?
    Yes, there is free parking available on-site in both Palmerstown Estate and Malahide. Follow the signs and directions from our parking attendants when you arrive.
  • Are costumes allowed?
    Absolutely! We encourage attendees to wear their Halloween costumes. However, for safety reasons, please avoid masks that cover the entire face and any weapons, even if they are part of your costume.
  • How do I book a carer ticket?
    Visitors with special needs may admit one accompanying carer free of charge. Simply go to our website and choose the carer ticket at the ticket selection page along with any other tickets. Please note this is not a confirmed ticket and proof is required on the day for entry. Please bring documentation or ID confirming the need for a carer. Please get in touch with us directly if there are any specific special needs or requests and we will do our best to accommodate all.
  • What kinds of activities and attractions are there?
    The event features a 1 km walking trail with a variety of attractions and characters to greet along the way, for example the Mad Hatter, Dracula, and our resident Witch cooking up spells in her kitchen. Actual sets and characters may differ in each location.
  • Will food and drinks be available to purchase?
    Yes, there will be a variety of food available offering seasonal treats, hot beverages, and meals.
  • What do I need to bring on the day?
    Please bring your confimation email with QR code for scanning on entry. You do not need to print this, we can scan it from your phone- please ensure your brightness is turned up. As this event is an outdoor event, please dress appropriately for the weather- costumes are encouraged!
  • Can I bring my pet?
    While we would love your four-legged friends to join us for this spooktacular event, for the safety and comfort of all guests, pets are not allowed, except for service animals.
  • What happens if it rains?
    The event will proceed rain or shine. The event is fully outdoor, we recommend dressing appropriately for the weather. Refunds are not available for inclement weather.
  • What happens if there are any technical faults or severe weather conditions?
    The organisers of the event will do everything in their power to ensure the smooth running of the event. In the unlikely event of something going wrong out of our control, we will facilitate, in the best possible manner, to deliver the event as close as possible to the organised event plan.
  • Is the event wheelchair accessible?
    Yes, the event site is wheelchair accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us in advance so we can accommodate you as best as possible.
  • How do I get there - Malahide Castle?
    Public Transport: Get the Dart to Malahide Get the 42 bus or H2 bus Drive: Free parking available Drop off: Taxi + Bus Drop off + Collection Zone available
  • How do I get there - Palmerstown House Estate?
    We are located on the grounds of Palmerstown House Estate, Johnstown, Kill, Co Kildare. Eircode: W91 FK10 We are located: 2 minutes from the Naas Ball 15 minutes from the Newlands Cross / M50 Red Cow Junction 45 minutes from Dublin City Centre
  • Can I get a refund if I can't attend?
    Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. However, they are transferable, so you can give them to a friend or family member if you cannot attend.
  • What is included in my booking?
    You booking entitles you to entry to The Haunted Trail, at the venue you have chosen. This event consists of a 1km fully accessible outdoor trail with enchanting decorations, costumed characters, and fabulous photo opportunities. Guests are also invited to dress up and to get into the spirit of the season.
  • Can I add more people to my booking?
    You will need to make a new booking. Please log on to our website and purchase additional tickets for the same date and time you have already booked. Bring both confirmation emails with you on the day and you'll all be able to join together.
